The 2016 China Masters Grand Prix Gold is the seventh Grand Prix's badminton tournament of the 2016 BWF Grand Prix and Grand Prix Gold. The tournament was held at the Olympic Sports Center Xincheng Gymnasium in Changzhou on 19�?4 April 2016, with a total purse of $150,000.

Changzhou has been hosting the China Masters since 2008. In August 2013, Changzhou won the bid to host China Masters of the BWF Grand Prix from 2014 to 2017. This year, the tournament involved a total of 317 players from 20 countries and regions, setting a new record in the number of entries.
