On February 18, Avi Hasson, the incumbent Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Economy of the State of Israel and his delegation investigated China (Changzhou)-Israel International Science & Technology Cooperation Park accompanied by Mayor Fei Gaoyun and Vice Mayor Wang Chengbin, and discussed about the cooperation project of China (Changzhou)-Israel International Innovation Base - Changzhou International Medical Devices Innovation Park. Jiangsu Province has started bilateral R & D cooperation with Israel since 2008. Through five years of efforts, the provincial government has supported more than 40 high-tech cooperation projects between the two countries, with nearly 100 million funds granted. As a key part of the West Taihu Lake International Science and Technology Industrial Park, China (Changzhou)-Israel International Innovation Base was identified as one of the four key high-tech cooperation areas by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) in 2013. Currently, a total of 15 Israeli companies like Lycored have already settled in the base, and 25 cooperation projects are in negotiation, mainly in the fields of medical devices, auto parts, etc. The goal of the base is to introduce more than 50 investment companies from Israel. Hasson and his delegation visited the premises of Lycored and the West Taihu Lake International Medical Industrial Park. The two sides had negotiations on the cooperation in fields of project, talent, technology and industry. ‘Changzhou will provide Israeli high-tech companies with a good environment for investment, said Fei. He hopes the base will play a role as a bridge to further the project cooperation and technology transfer between Changzhou and Israeli companies.
