On March 11th, Changzhou West Taihu Lake Hospital announced that it would open in May this year, with a health management center to open in July and full outpatient service to roll out in December.

West Taihu Lake Hospital covers an area of 8.67 hectares, with a building area of 83,000 square meters. It is designed to become a research-oriented general hospital, integrating life-cycle health management, comprehensive medical treatment, rehabilitation and recuperation services.

At the site of the hospital, workers were stepping up the construction work. Building 2 will soon turn into a high-end physical examination area of the health management center. On the other end, supporting facilities were being installed in the inpatient building.

According to President Chen Bingguan, the hospital will focus on the development of oncology and rehabilitation medicine, and will carry out life-cycle health management of residents.
