Recently, the first practice base established by the Medical School of UOR (University of Reims, France) in China was opened at the South Department of WPH (Wujin People’s Hospital). Meanwhile, the China-France Medical Cooperation Center of Urology and the China-France Medical Cooperation Center of Rheumatology was also inaugurated. Zhang Yunyun, deputy mayor of Changzhou, met with the delegation of UOR Affiliated Hospital.

With approximately 30,000 students, UOR is not only a famous university in France, but also one of the largest medical research institutions in Europe. And every year there are about 2,500 talents graduated from the Medical School. In 2012, WPH was officially recognized as the China-France Medical Cooperation Center of UOR Affiliated Hospital.

For WPH, the establishment of “one base & two centers� plays an active role in accelerating the cultivation of talents and introducing advanced medical concepts, as well as learning advanced medical technology and hospital management experience.

WPH now has 1,350 beds for patients, including both south and north departments. In 2013, the hospital provided emergency room or outpatient clinic services for 792,000 people, cured 53,000 patients from hospitalization and completed 19,600 surgical operations.
