Wang Quan meets with Taiwan's Core Pacific Group

On the afternoon of June 26, Party Secretary Wang Quan met with Sheen Ching-Jing, Founder and Chairman of Core Pacific Group, and his delegation. Chang Shifu, Chief of Wujin District, Shi Xiaoping, Party Secretary of Changzhou West Taihu Lake Science and Technology Zone (Jiangsu Wujin Economic Zone, WEZ), and Xu Xinbo, Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of WEZ, attended the meeting.

Core Pacific Group is involved in a variety of business activities including petrochemical, engineering infrastructure, urban development and operation, financial services, leisure and entertainment, cultural and educational creativity, and so on. This time, the group’s China Petrochemical Development Corporation (CPDC) plans to acquire Jiangsu Huize New Material Technology Co., Ltd.

CPDC was established in 1969 as a state-owned enterprise under the supervision of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. In 1991, CPDC was listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, and in 1994 the company was privatized. It is one of the business units of the Core Pacific Group. Its core business is in the production of petrochemical intermediates and related engineering plastics, synthetic resins, raw materials for chemical fiber and other derivative products. The Company operates its businesses in domestic market, Asian market and other markets.
