Recently, it was learned from Beijing that Chinese tech giant Huawei inked a strategic partnership with the Jintan-based battery maker SVOLT to help build the latter into the world's first digitalized battery platform. According to the cooperation agreement, the two sides will establish a comprehensive partnership and carry out in-depth cooperation in various fields. Huawei will provide informatization, digitalization, and intelligent construction services to support the development of SVOLT. At the same time, the two parties will together develop a big data platform for new energy & energy storage, based on which a variety of cooperation modes will be identified to jointly explore high-quality customers and help diversify the business model. SVOLT, with a total investment of 8 billion yuan, has already put into operation the first-phase project in Jintan Economic Development Zone. The new project codenamed "Fengyun" will be launched in three phases. The first phase focuses on building an energy information cloud platform. In the second phase, application big data for key businesses such as BMS and energy storage will be set up to start algorithm exercises and self-learning analysis through data accumulation. During the third phase, the three major big data platforms for energy storage, building management systems (BMS) and smart factory will be established. In the future, SVOLT will rely on these three platforms to achieve full-life-cycle product R&D, lean production and after-sales service.
