Recently Changzhou Aid Administration Center for Students held a second round activity of Hand in Hand Growth Project, which helped match 88 applying students with 51 caring people and host families. By now, 337 students who applied for financial assistance in the year 2013 have all received aids.

Founded in 2007, Changzhou Aid Administration Center for Students takes responsibility for aids management. Through the Project launched in 2013, caring people provide 1,000 yuan for each student annually until the end of the learning period.

The amount of student aid planned by government policies totaled up to more than 204 million yuan last year, exempting surcharges and book expenses of 190 million yuan within the downtown area. 734,300 students have benefited from this Project. Student subsidies sponsored by the state and government was 13.5423 million yuan, benefiting 16,615 needy students. Furthermore, with the help of caring enterprises, organizations and individuals from all walks of life, the whole city raised 6.9624 million yuan of social caring aid, benefiting 5,950 needy students.
