West Taihu Lake Industrial Park promotes investment in health industry

The IVD medical diagnostic project of Lite-On IT Corporation, a branch of Lite-On Technology Corporation in Taiwan, recently signed to settle in the West Taihu Lake Science & Technology Industrial Park with a registered capital of $ 5 million. The project will rent a plant of 3,000 square meters at the beginning for production and sales of in vitro diagnostic (IVD) equipment, reagents, etc.

Lite-On IT was listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 2004, and is currently the world's largest developer and manufacturer of optical storage devices. Since 2011, the company has been cooperating with professional teams to carry out technology transfer based on its core technology and resources in optical and electronic fields, extending to medical diagnostics industry.

IVD products include reagents, control material, equipment or systems, etc. Along with the growing public demand for healthcare, the domestic IVD industry is in rapid growth as well.

Focusing on health industry, the West Taihu Lake Industrial Park is speeding up the construction of the International Medical Devices Town and Medical Industrial Incubation Park, Yabang Life Science Park, Fulong Health Industrial Park, etc., and has gathered more than 20 medical equipment and biomedical companies such as Zhongjin Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., Lycored, etc.
