Fei Gaoyun meets with Metro China President Jeroen de Groot

On the morning of August 5th, mayor Fei Gaoyun met with Jeroen de Groot, president of Metro Cash & Carry China, and his delegation at the Administration Center.

METRO GROUP unites a group of strong, independent sales brands: METRO/MAKRO Cash & Carry is a leading international player in self-service wholesale trade, ranking third in retail and wholesale supermarket businesses, with branches in 32 countries around the world. Currently, Metro has already set up a store in Changzhou, and the second one is going to open very soon.

Fei Gaoyun said that Changzhou is now accelerating the development of modern service industry. Metro’s investment expansion in Changzhou will promote the construction of our city, and Changzhou’s government sectors at all levels will provide excellent services for the project.

Jeroen de Groot said that since Metro invested in Changzhou in 2007, it has achieved great performance here, so the group is planning to carry out extensive cooperation with Changzhou.
