On August 2, the Changzhou Investigation Team of the National Bureau of Statistics announced that the household sample survey showed that in the first half of this year, the per capita expenditure of households for consumption in Changzhou was 1,4804.9 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.9%. The eight categories of consumption, including food, clothing, housing, culture, education, entertainment and health care, have increased overall. Among them, the expenditure on transportation and communications grew the fastest, up 9.1% year-on-year. The consumption on education, culture and entertainment increased by 9%. Expenditure on housing, health care, household goods and services, food and tobacco, clothing and other supplies and services grew by 8.8%, 8.4%, 7.6%, 6.7%, 6.7% and 5.3% respectively. The data also shows an overall increase in the four categories of disposable income. Among them, wage and salary income was 1,5733.4 yuan, an increase of 8.1%; net operating income was 3945.1 yuan, up 7.9%; net income from properties was 1899.4 yuan, an increase of 8.9%; and net income from transfers was 3421.7 yuan, up 8.7%.
