The 9th China Flower Expo was held on September 1st in Yinchuan, Ningxia. China Flower Expo is a national flower fair initiated in 1987. Held every four years, it is known as the Olympic of Chinese flower industry.

The theme this year is "Flowers Blooming on the New Silk Road", which is closely linked to the vision of the Belt & Road Initiative of China. 31 flower associations from different provinces/cities/autonomous regions, the Shenzhen Flower Association and the Flower Associations of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and 15 branches of China Flower Association participated in the Expo.

Changzhou brought 49 kinds of flowers to the Expo, including orchids, Ananas comosus, Anthurium, etc. The creative and delicate combination of flowers and bonsai displayed the city's thriving development of flower industry in recent years.

Xu Zheng, vice mayor of Changzhou, Zhang Yagang, vice chairman of the Municipal Committee of CPPCC, Li Tanyun, director of the Municipal Agricultural Commission, and Xu Jiakuan, the chief agronomist, attended the opening ceremony and visited the Jiangsu exhibition area.
