On November 17th, Changzhou 2D Carbon Graphene Material Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Betterlife Electronic Science and Technology Co., Ltd. jointly held the product launch of Z-Touch, the first 3D touch graphene chip solution in the world.

Pressure sensor is one of the essential function trends of the next generation of smart phones and related equipment, and has thus become a focus of industrial research and development. 2D Carbon Graphene breaks the technology bottlenecks of pressure sensor by means of applying the excellent flexibility, conductivity and sensitivity of graphene, providing a satisfactory solution for downstream applications industry.

According to reports, Z-Touch has ultra-high sensitivity ranging from 10 mg to 5 kg of pressing strength depending on the structural design. It can realize multi-stage pressing induction, tapping with finger or nail, case vibration and other functions if installed on mobile phones or tablet computers. It is also applicable to multi-stage menu selection by pressing, various types of game playing, real handwriting pressure, pressure passwords, replacing border buttons, etc. It has passed more than 500,000 times of reliability tests against fatigue pressing, high temperature and humidity, and so on.

The sensor is small, affordable and easy to use and install. It is currently one of the most competitive 3D touch solutions in addition to Apple, which has attained completely independent intellectual property rights.

Lenovo Group and 2D Carbon Graphene has signed a cooperation agreement to jointly carry out research and development of graphene strain pressure sensors in the area of smart wearable electronic devices. Mr. Ma Lei, director of Lenovo Research Institute, claims that Z-Touch has a considerable potential to be widely applied in the areas of wearable device, Internet of things, etc .

At present, Changzhou has 51 enterprises involved in graphene materials and downstream applications, expecting to achieve industrial output of over 1.2 billion yuan this year.
