On April 11, Novelis Co, Ltd., the world's leading manufacturer of high-end aluminum rolled products, signed a contract with Changzhou High-tech Zone to set up its first company in Changzhou specializing in producing automobile aluminum sheets. Li Yunfeng, member of Provincial Standing Committee and executive vice governor of Jiangsu Province, as well as municipal leaders Yan Li, Dai Yuan, Cai Jun, Han Jiuyun attended the ceremony. Mayor Yao Xiaodong met with the project leader of Novelis before signing ceremony.
　　Novelis is the global leading manufacturer of aluminum flat-rolled products for auto market, and is also the leading supplier of automotive aluminum sheet. The new project is the first one of Novelis invested in China, which involves the investment of USD 100 million and owns the annual production capacity of 120,000 tons of aluminum sheets. It is expected to put into operation at the end of 2014.
