On the afternoon of June 23, the 2019 China New Energy Automotive Industry Development and Power Storage Battery Technology Innovation Jintan Maoshan Summit was held in Jintan, Changzhou. Ma Peihua, vice chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Xie Zhicheng, director of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and Liang Yibo, deputy mayor of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, attended the summit.

The summit aims at building a global platform for the development of power battery and new energy vehicle (NEV) industry which will release industry trends, display technological achievements, gather high-end talents and expand the NEV industry.

In recent years, Jintan has focused on cultivating the “three new and one special� industries (the new energy vehicles, mobile intelligent terminals, 5g communication networks and featured photovoltaics) and has unremittingly accelerated the introduction and construction of relevant projects. The district has successively introduced a number of major projects in vehicle, engine and parts and lithium battery industries, such as Dorcen Auto, CALB, Great Wall NEV, Easpring Material Technology, BTR, etc.

At the summit, Jiangsu Power and Energy Storage Battery Industry Innovation Alliance was unveiled and theJiangsu Automotive Industry Reportwas released. The Jintan District New Energy Vehicle Industry Association was unveiled at the same time.
