On August 23, the signing ceremony of the phase-II project of Nabtesco (China) Precision Equipment Co., Ltd. was held at Wujin National High-tech Industrial Zone. Shi Zhijun, deputy mayor of Changzhou and secretary of the CPC Wujin District Committee, attended the signing ceremony and met with Mr. Kotani, president of Nabtesco Corporation. Nabtesco Corporation was established in 2003 following the integration of two time-honored companies - Tenjin Seiki Co., Ltd. and NABCO Ltd. Headquartered in Tokyo, the company is mainly engaged in R&D, production and sales of core components for aerospace, rail transit, ship control, industrial machinery, new energy, and automation machinery. The precision reducer produced by Nabtesco is one of the core components of robots, and its global market share exceeds 60%. Nabtesco (China) Precision Equipment’s phase-I project covers an area of 78 mu (about 5.2 hectares) and a registered capital of 50 million US dollars. It mainly produces precision reducers for robots with a planned annual output of 200,000 sets. In order to further expand production capacity, the company initiated the phase-II project which covers 98-mu (about 6.5 hectares) on the west side of the existing plant, with an additional capacity of 200,000 sets/year. The entire project will have an annual capacity of 400,000 precision reducers.
