The Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Changzhou in July reached 102.6, up 2.6% over the same period last year. Compared to last month, the index dropped 0.4 percentage points. The overall consumer price level of July moved upward by 0.1% comparing with the previous month. Among the eight categories, the prices of food, housing, household equipment and maintenance service, health care and personal necessities, traffic and communication, educational and recreational products and services, and clothes have respectively increased by 3.9%, 3.3%, 3.1%, 2.1%, 2%, 1.5%, and 0.8%. The prices of tobacco and alcohol declined by 1.8%.
