Changzhou holds virtual meeting with Dillenburg to enhance cooperation

On December 13, Changzhou held a virtual meeting with Dillenburg, Germany, to promote exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

Acting mayor Sheng Lei attended the event and delivered a keynote speech.

She noted Changzhou’s next five-year plan towards an international star city of intelligent manufacturing and a pivotal hub in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Through high-quality development and efficient governance, the city will continuously improve public safety and people’s quality of life, said Sheng.

Describing Changzhou as a beautiful city where historic charm meets modern innovation, she invited people from Germany to visit Changzhou in person either for tourism or investment opportunities.

Zhu Weige, commercial counselor from the Chinese Consulate-General in Frankfurt, Burghard Lowe, general manager of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) Lahn-Dill, Dr. Felix Heusler, executive director of IsabellenhĂĽtte Heusler GmbH & Co. KG (ISA), and Holger Spiegel, CEO of ISA, gave their speeches at the meeting.

At the event, the two sides held an online signing ceremony for ISA’s first production center in China †the Changzhou manufacturing facility for electronic components with a total investment of 40 million euros.
