On February 6, it was learned from Diaozhuang Sub-district that Changzhou Transportation Group Co., Ltd. has invested 210 million yuan to build a logistics center in Zhongcun. The project is expected to be completed in 2016.

Zhongcun is a village located in the south of National Highway 312 and the Grand Canal, neighboring the Cailing Harbour and Hutang Town. It enjoys very good water and road transportation.

The logistics center, covering an area of 73,480 square meters, will build a 12-story business complex with 15,000 square meters on the ground and 3,000 square meters underground for parking. In the production area, there will be an open storage area of about 40,000 square meters and indoor warehouse of 9,200 square meters. The Cailing Port can harbor ships at 500-ton level. The open storage area is mainly for construction materials such as rebar, wire rod, and so on, and industrial materials like steel bar. Indoor warehouse is mainly for storage of nonferrous metals like alloy. It is expected to reach 1.2 million tons in throughput.
