Chinese Dragon Boat Race 2014 to be held in Changzhou

On April 19 and 20, the second leg of the Chinese Dragon Boat Race 2014 (Wujin section) will be held in Taihu Bay National Dragon Boat Base. By then, there will be 32 teams with a total of 750 athletes attending the race. As the host, Wujin Taihu Bay Women's Dragon Boat Team is aiming to win women's champion.

It is reported that the Wujin Team was founded earlier this year, and all the 28 players are introduced from other cities. With an average age of 38 years old, this team can be referred to as a ‘mother-level team. Recently, the players have to practice six hours a day, including tactical coordination training and repeating strength training.

Chinese Dragon Boat Race is the top-level and most influential dragon boat race in China. It is an annual tournament including eight legs, which will be broadcast live by CCTV.
