Recently, Liyang’s first non-government-funded primary school football field was opened in Liyang Central Primary School.

It is learned that earlier this year, the school has been selected into the first batch of pilot schools for Changzhou’s program of campus football. The Changzhou Football Association, in coordination with the Municipal Sports Bureau and Education Bureau, raised private capital of nearly 200,000 yuan to renovate the school’s original field paved with cement concrete. Currently, the project has been completed and opened to students, available for 5- or 7-a-side football matches.
