The World Federation of Rose Societies (WFRS) Regional Convention 2016 will be held in Beijing’s Daxing district from May 18thto 24th, 2016, according to a recent press conference in Beijing. The convention, hosted by the World Federation of Rose Societies, China Flower Association and the Beijing municipal government, will provide an opportunity for enterprises and individuals all over the world to share new technologies and applications in breeding, cultivation, and landscaping. By then, more than 7,000 plants of over 40 rose varieties will be displayed in the Changzhou Garden. Presently, the construction of Changzhou Garden undertaken by the Hongmei Park has already been completed. It covers an area of 1,400 square meters and is designed with the theme of the ‘Home in Jiangnan†(In Chinese, Jiangnan means south of the Yangtze River). The World Federation of Rose Societies, founded in 1968, is a non-commercial international organization with 41 member countries, including the United States, France and China. It aims to popularize information about roses worldwide.
