On December 17, the APECSmartCityand Industrial Technology Cooperation Forum opened in Changzhou Science andEducationTown. About 400 persons attended the forum, including the representatives of APEC member groups, well-known scientists, experts of famous universities and R&D institutions, and experts of multinational corporations and innovative businesses.

The forum is supported by APEC fund, and sponsored by the Department of International Cooperation of Ministry of Science and Technology, Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Department and Changzhou Municipal Government. The participants will focus on the theme of smart city construction, and discuss on the city outlook, the development strategies and cooperation plan.

At the same day, Changzhou Smart City Institute was inaugurated.
