On the afternoon of August 18, a team of 22 medical workers left for Yangzhou to support the hospitals there on epidemic control and prevention. Members of the team come from five medical institutions in Changzhou. They include doctors and nurses specializing in respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine diseases and TCM, and also psychotherapists and rehabilitation therapists. Cao Qi, leader of the team, is the deputy chief physician of the Respiratory Medicine Department of Changzhou No.2 People’s Hospital. He had experience of working in Huangshi, Hubei province last year during the height of the epidemic. Up to now, Changzhou has assigned 576 medical workers to assist Nanjing and Yangzhou.
