On November 5^th, Vice Mayor Fang Guoqiang met with the delegation of Essen, Germany headed by Dr. Dietmar Düdden, General director of EWG, in the Administration Center.

Fang expressed the expectation that both sides will strengthen cooperation in various fields of economy, social progress and culture based on our friendship-city relations, and jointly promote a number of cooperation projects including the Sino-German Innovation Park in coordination of Industry 4.0 and Made in China 2025.

Dr. Düdden said that in recent years Changzhou and Essen have carried out pragmatic and fruitful exchanges and cooperation, with expanding cooperation in social, cultural, educational and tourism areas.

During the visit, the Essen delegation had meetings respectively with Changzhou Science and Education Town, the Municipal Bureau of Commerce the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office regarding the ongoing or promising cooperation projects. The delegation also held an investment seminar and visited several companies.
