On March 26, Torben Hansen, mayor of Randers, Denmark, headed a delegation to Changzhou. Vice Mayor Fang Guoqiang met with the delegation at the Administration Center.
Randers is the sixth largest city in Denmark. Since Changzhou and Randers established a friendship city relationship in 2014, the two cities have conducted exchanges and cooperation in fields of economy and trade, education, culture, tourism, and fire control.
This was Mayor Hansen’s first visit to Changzhou, during which he learned about Changzhou in various areas, promoted the cooperation between Changzhou Institute of Technology and VIA University College in the study program of preschool education, and expanded exchanges in tourism, economy and trade.
Changzhou Institute of Technology started cooperation with VIA Campus Randers in 2008 and co-launched the ‘3+1’ study program of pre-school education. Since then, Changzhou has become an internship base for VIA students majoring in pre-school education. So far, about 100 Danish students have attended the program in Changzhou.
