The 2021 Changzhou West Taihu Lake Half Marathon, with Jiangnan Rural Commercial Bank as the title sponsor, took place at the venue of Wujin Flower Expo on the morning of October 17.

Gao Shan, director of the Industrial Development Department of China Athletics Association, Liu Tong, deputy director of Jiangsu Sports Administration, and city leaders Qiao Junjie and Chen Zhengchun attended the opening ceremony.

As many as 15,000 participants traveled from across the country to compete in the half (21.0975 km), short (10 km), and mini (5 km) races.

Wu Xiangdong, of Anhui province, was the first to make it across the finish line for the men鈥檚 21.0975 km with a time of 1锛?3锛?8.

Liu Zhuang, of Changzhou, won the women's 21.0975 km for the second time, with a time of 1锛?7锛?9.

The event was co-sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, Jiangsu Sports Administration, and the Changzhou Municipal People鈥檚 Government.

It was co-hosted by Wujin District People鈥檚 Government, Changzhou Sports Bureau, Jiangsu Sports Competitions Administration Center, Changzhou West Taihu Science and Technology Industrial Park, and Jiangsu Changgao Sports Development Co., Ltd.

China Athletics Association provided technical certification services. Changzhou Sports Development Foundation provided special support.
