Recently, it was learned from Africa that after two months of operation, the four locomotives produced by CSR Qishuyan Locomotive Co., Ltd. have received high recognition from Tanzania-Zambia Railway Authority with facilitate maneuverability and reliable performance, playing an important role in the transportation of Tanzania-Zambia Railway.

The construction of Tanzania-Zambia Railway was aided by China in the 1970s, the completion of which plays an essential role in the economic development of Tanzania and Zambia. In order to consolidate the Sino-African People's Friendship, China has actively participated in the railway reconstruction and operations in recent years.

Last year, the Tanzania-Zambia Railway Bureau and the China Civil Engineering Group Co., Ltd. signed an agreement, upon which CSR Qishuyan Locomotive Co., Ltd. Shall produce four 3,000-horsepower diesel locomotives for the railway. It is learned that the four locomotives worth 80 million yuan, which are more suitable for the geological environment in Africa and are more durable and easier to maintain. As the delivery of foreign aid supplies, these locomotives were shipped in August this year after strict inspection and supervision by Changzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.
