On April 12, Underwriter Laboratories Inc. (UL), a world-renowned safety certification company headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois, USA, signed a cooperation agreement with Wujin National High-tech Industrial Zone (WIZ), planning to establish a large battery testing laboratory in the WIZ. Li Lin, deputy mayor of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government and secretary of CPC Wujin District Committee, met with the delegation headed by Zhou Weifang, president of Consumer at UL LLC. As one of China's strategic industries, new energy vehicles have developed rapidly in recent years. Many new energy vehicles are powered by batteries.
