On August 7th, the construction work for the Jiangsu Rujia Biological Science and Technology Industrial Park officially started in Jintan District. The park is a 2-billion-yuan project invested by Jiatou Industrial Co., Ltd..

Coordinated by the Jintan Chamber of Commerce and the Jintan Federation of Industry and Commerce, Jiatou Industrial Group and the Rulin Township Government of Jintan District officially signed the project on June 30th. Covering an area of 500 mu (33.35 hectares) and with a total floor area of almost 300,000 m2, the project will become a smart science and technology industrial park that focuses on R & D, production, processing, operation and management in the fields of personal care, medical care, health preservation and smart technology. The first-phase project covers an area of 199.7 mu (13.32 hectares) with an investment of 700 million RMB, and is expected to be operational by next May. With an investment of 1.3 billion RMB, the second-phase project is expected to be operational by the beginning of 2018. Once fully operational, the industrial park can generate an annual sales of 20 billion RMB with a tax contribution of 300 million to 500 million RMB.

The investor, Jiatou Industrial Group, was founded in Wujin District in 2011, and became listed in Shanghai Equity Exchange in January 2015. It now boasts over 100 chain hotels and subsidiaries with over 2000 employees.
