To contain and stop the spread of COVID-19, starting from noon of March 15, Changzhou has added six areas in the city as medium-risk for the virus according to the national guidelines for epidemic control and the risk assessment by local anti-epidemic authority. The added medium-risk areas are Zhangjia Village, Mingdong Street and Hongxing International Plaza in Hutang town of Wujin district, 101-1 Daoxiang Road in Xihu sub-district of Wujin, Xiajiatang in Benniu town of Xinbei district, and Caihongcheng residential area in Qinglong sub-district of Tianning district. The city has also classified 14 areas under lockdown, six under epidemic control, and four under prevention management. They are: The 14 lockdown areas (six in Wujin, five in Xinbei, two in Tianning, and one in Changzhou Economic Development Zone) are under strict access control, where residents are required to practice home isolation. The six areas under epidemic control (three in Wujin, one in Xinbei, one in Tianning, and one in Zhonglou) implement “entrance only, no exit†restrictions, where any sorts of gatherings are prohibited. The four areas under epidemic prevention, namely Wujin, Xinbei, Tianning, and Changzhou Economic Development Zone, observe social restriction measures, where gatherings should be avoided unless absolutely necessary. Everyone bears the primary responsibility for their health. Please maintain good habits for health and do not leave the city unless necessary. Avoid unnecessary trips to medium and high-risk areas or regions where locally confirmed cases occur. Cooperate with protocols such as providing needed information, taking nucleic acid tests, and undergoing health monitoring. Please follow the information on the dynamics of the virus and changes to medium and high-risk regions from official sources. Do not listen to or spread rumors and untrue reports concerning the coronavirus outbreak. Stay vigilant in the fight against the virus and keep up with our epidemic prevention and control measures.
