Changzhou’s 58 national model workers donate nearly 5,000 personal archives

Recently, 22 national model workers received the certificates of donation of personal archives from Changzhou Municipal Archives Administration.

"This magnetic stand was produced by the Changzhou Dongfeng Instrument Factory in 1969, which has already been out of production. My mentor received it from his master, and then passed it to me, which is very meaningful," said Zhang Yongjie, one of the donors.

Currently, the Municipal Archives Administration has received nearly 5,000 personal archives from a total of 58 national model workers.

These archives include medals, ribbons, old photographs, work notes and operating tools of national model workers in Changzhou, which will be displayed in the Archives Exhibition Center located in Canal 5.

National model workers are vanguards in the construction of socialist material civilization, political civilization and spiritual civilization of China They are outstanding representatives of the Chinese working class and the broad masses of the working people. The great sense of responsibility as the master of the country, enterprising spirit and selfless devotion, remarkable work ethics and professional commitment that they display in their work have provided a driving force behind the progress of the times.
