Changzhou Integrated Circuit Eco-industrial Park to settle in Wujin

On the morninig of April 20, the project of Changzhou Integrated Circuit Eco-industrial Park was officially signed to settle in Wujin National High-tech Industrial Zone (WIZ), which will gather world-class R&D teams of algorithm, chip, firmware, software, test and technique. Party Secretary Wang Quan attended the signing ceremony and delivered a speech.

It is learned that the project has a total investment of 10 billion yuan and a planning area of 500 mu (about 33.33 hectares). Hunan Goke Microelectronics Co., Ltd. will set up a chip R&D company in WIZ, specializing in designing chips for trusted computing, national security, multimedia, communications, artificial intelligence and so on. Meanwhile, under the support of the National IC Industry Investment Fund, GOKE will cooperate with other investors to establish joint laboratories and academician workstations for trusted computing, a R&D and testing center for DRM, and a 4K content management and operation service base.

Wang said in his speech that integrated circuit is the core of a new generation of information technology industry, and a strategic, fundamental and guiding industry in the new era to promote economic and social development and ensure national security. At present, Changzhou is promoting the development of smart cities and smart manufacturing industry, for which we must accelerate the development of independent innovation in the field of integrated circuit.

Shi Zhijun, deputy mayor of Changzhou and secretary of the CPC Wujin District Committee, attended the event.
