On June 20, the 2019 World Industrial and Energy Internet Expo was opened at Changzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. Guided by the spirit of the 19th National Congress of CPC and Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the guidelines of the Expo are to pursue innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared developments, deepen supply-side reforms and build Changzhou into a high-level star city of industry.

Under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, National Energy Administration of the People's Republic of China, Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and China Aerospace Science and Industry Co., Ltd., the Expo is organized by Changzhou Municipal People's Government, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Energy, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Energy Internet Research Institute of Tsinghua University, CASI Cloud, Huawei Technology Co., Ltd., Trina Solar Limited and Wanbang New Energy. The co-organizers include Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Changzhou Development and Reform Commission, Alliance of Industrial Internet, China Energy Internet Alliance and CASI Cloud Data Research Institute (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd.

The objectives of the Expo are to build a grand platform for exchanges and cooperation between industries and the Industrial & Energy Internet, release industrial trends, showcase latest technologies, attract investments, gather high-end talents and help SMEs cut emissions and improve their level of informatization.

The Industrial Internet presents great opportunities. With the market playing a central role and with proper government guidance, Changzhou will further integrate Internet, big data and AI with the real economy and promote the development of Industrial Internet. Meanwhile, Changzhou is aiming to make the World Industrial and Energy Internet Expo a top-notch expo of its kind in China.
