On the morning of May 22, a ground-breaking ceremony was held for Xitaihu Lake School, which is affiliated to East China Normal University (ECNU).

The school, jointly developed by the ECNU, the Wujin district government, and Zhiyuan Education Co., Ltd., draws a total investment of 1.5 billion RMB. Backed by the resources from the ECNU, it will adopt a K-12 model, covering education from Kindergarten prior to the first year (or 1st grade) of formal schooling, through secondary graduation (12th Grade). The school is expected to open in September 2023, by which time it will become the first ever K-12 school in Changzhou.

With an area of 18 hectares, the school campus will boast a teaching complex, a sports square, and an AI&STEM center, providing an optimal environment for talent cultivation.

After its opening, through delivering high-quality and international-based education, the school will become a growth driver for the Xitaihu Lake area, a core area for development in the city.
