On May 8th, the finals of the first Changzhou Choir Competition was held in the Phoenix Valley Film Art Palace Cinema. Changqing Art Troupe, Changzhou Huasheng Chorus, and Yangguang Junior Choir were awarded the first prizes of the elderly, middle-aged, and teen groups respectively.

The Changzhou Choir Competition was co-organized by the Publicity Department of Changzhou Municipal Committee of CPC, Changzhou Federation of Culture, Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Education and Changzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League. A total of 157 choirs with above 10,000 members have participated in the contest.

The awarding ceremony and performance will be held on May 19th.
