On July 31, the project involving 6 million yuan and invested by Akzo Nobel was officially started. Akzo Nobel Co., Ltd. is one of the world's top 500 enterprises, the largest global paints and coatings business and the major manufacturer of specialty chemical. City leaders Dai Yuan and Fang Guoqiang attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
　　The new project is located in the Xinbei Industrial Park, covering the construction area of 166,000 square meters. The main products include a variety of high-performance coatings and complementary products for automotive refinish, automotive plastics, and aerospace markets. The project is expected to be put into operation in 2014 and the annual capacity will increase by 25 million liters.
