On Feb 27, a ground-breaking ceremony for major projects was held in Liyang, kick-starting 10 projects with a total investment of 5 billion yuan.

The projects are in a variety of sectors. They include a space engineering equipment project, an industrial park for small and micro UAV enterprises, a high-performance shock absorber project, etc. Among the projects, the Health and Medical Center in Liyang has an investment of 1.943 billion yuan. Occupying an area of approximately 18.5 hectares, it includes Jiangsu Province Hospital of TCM Liyang Branch, and supporting facilities such as a rehabilitation center, an elderly-care center and a physical examination center.

Established in 2017, the Liyang Branch of the provincial TCM hospital marks the cooperation between a provincial hospital and the local government. Such cooperation channels medical resources down to county-level cities, and boosts social and economic development.

In addition, Liyang is about to sign three more projects, each with an investment above 10 billion yuan. They include two automotive projects and a cold-rolled stainless steel program. Such achievement is unprecedented in history, and a good start in the 14th Five Year Plan.
