Latest update on COVID-19 dynamics in Jiangsu province

Between 00:00 and 24:00 of March 18,threenew confirmed locally-transmitted cases (two in Nanjing and one in Lianyungang) were registered in Jiangsu province.

Thirty-five asymptomatic infections (eight in Nanjing, two in Wuxi, five in Suzhou, 19 in Lianyungang, and one in Yancheng) and one inbound symptomless case were newly reported in the province.

Twenty-four confirmed cases (22 local and two inbound) were discharged from hospitals, while six asymptomatic cases (five local and one inbound) were released from medical observation.

At present, 159 confirmed cases (137 local and 22 inbound) are under treatment at designated hospitals, while 320 asymptomatic carriers (299 local and 21 inbound) are under medical observation.

From January 22, 2020 to March 18, 2022, a total of 1,977 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 214 inbound ones) had been reported in Jiangsu cumulatively.

Changzhou has classified one high-risk and eight medium-risk areas for the virus.

The high-risk area is the Qingyun Lanwan construction site at 8-2 Mid. Longjiang Rd. in Wuxing sub-district of Zhonglou district.

The eight medium-risk areas are Building 194 of Shunyuan Liucun residential area in Xuejia town of Xinbei district, the north part of Xincheng Lanzuan residential area in Hongmei sub-district of Tianning district, Caihongcheng residential area in Qinglong sub-district of Tianning, Zhangjia Village, Mingdong Street and Hongxing International Plaza in Hutang town of Wujin district, 101-1 Daoxiang Road in Xihu sub-district of Wujin, and Xiajiatang in Benniu town of Xinbei.
