On June 18, the list of the second group of provincial demonstration areas for holistic tourism was announced by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. Liyang, Changzhou was named on the list.

In 2016, Liyang set the goal of becoming a provincial demonstration areas for holistic tourism. Since then, Liyang has been effectively promoting transformation in the tourism industry by integrating tourism resources, optimizing tourist areas and pushing for the development mode of “tourism+� other industries.

At present, Liyang has one national 5A scenic area, one national tourist resort, one national ecotourism demonstration area, one national 4A scenic area, one provincial tourist resort and two national wetland parks. As the only place in Jiangsu named among China’s "natural oxygen bars� , Liyang has also received titles such as a national civilized city, a national demonstration city for ecological civilization, one of China’s outstanding tourist destination cities, a famous Chinese city for longevity diet and a world longevity town.
