According to the Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission, between 00:00 and 24:00, April 29, no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Jiangsu, while one patient was discharged from the hospital. As of this update, a total of 22 imported cases have been reported in the province, of whom 17 patients have been discharged from hospital, while five are still receiving treatment in isolation. No new confirmed local cases were reported in Jiangsu. All the previously confirmed 631 local cases in the province have been discharged from hospital. On the 29th of April, no new asymptomatic cases were reported. As of this update, two asymptomatic cases, both imported, are still under quarantine. To date, 13,637 close contacts have been traced. Among them, 13,624 have been released from medical observation while 13 are still under observation. No new cases does not mean an end to our response. Experts urge the public to continue to observe hygiene advisories. All Jiangsu-bound passengers must comply with the regulations for pandemic control, truthfully declare their travel history and health condition, and report to their employers and residential communities prior to the journey. Those who visited or returned to Jiangsu from abroad should seek treatment at designated fever clinics if symptoms such as fever or cough occurs, and report their whereabouts during the past two weeks. Recommended precautions include wearing a mask when going out, washing your hands often, covering your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze, and keeping your room well-ventilated. It is also important to have a balanced diet, work out regularly, quit smoking, limit alcohol consumption and try to maintain a good mood. Unnecessary gatherings and travel plans are still not recommended. Social distancing measures must be kept up.
