On the recently released list of Jiangsu province’s first group of water conservancy heritage sites, seven heritage sites in Changzhou are among the 117 sites selected across the province. They are Shahe Reservoir and Jiuhuangyan Ruins in Liyang, Jianchang Dike in Jintan, Chunqiu Yancheng Ruins and Baidukou Water Level Motoring Station in Wujin, Wencheng Dam, Yizhou Ancient Ferry, and Imperial Wharf in Tianning, and Nanshi River in Zhonglou. The identification and protection of water conservancy heritage sites are effective measures to promote the development of the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) Economic Belt and Grand Canal Cultural Belt. Since the beginning of 2021, the water conservancy authorities in Changzhou have adopted efficient approaches in the management and protection of the city’s water conservancy heritage sites, showing outstanding achievements through hard work.
