On August 4th, the first 2016 China (Changzhou) West Taihu Film & Television Industry Forum was held in Changzhou, which gathered nearly 200 scriptwriters, director, producers, and film, television and media experts from all over the country. The participants discussed the future of China’s film and television industry with the theme of ‘Always remember the initial reason of why you started it.�

Luo Jianhui, Networking Secretary of the State Administration of Press Publication, Radio, Film and Television, Zhao Duojia, Vice Chairman of Chinese Television Artists Association, You Xiaogang, Chairman of Chinese Television Drama Production Industry Association China, Zheng Xiaolong, Chairman of TV Drama Directors' Working Committee, and Xu Ying, Director of the Publicity Department and Standing Member of CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, attended the forum.

Xu Ying welcomed the participants on behalf of CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and Municipal Government. She said that the cultural industry led by innovation and creation has become a development feature and one of the pillar industries of Changzhou. At present, Changzhou is the one of the first national demonstration bases of digital entertainment industry and national demonstration bases of culture-technology integration. We are also an innovation demonstration city of ‘tourism+Internet.� Changzhou has held the International Animation Art Week for 13 consecutive years, which is the key cultural information exchange platform and a national animation festival supported by the Ministry of Culture and Jiangsu Province. 12 movies and TV dramas includingThe Seal of Love,Shi Liang,Qingguo Lane, and so on have been nominated for the national prize of ‘Five-One Project.� Xu hoped the participating leaders, entrepreneurs and artists would use their great thoughts to promote the film and television industry in Changzhou and in China.
