Update: No new confirmed cases reported in Jiangsu

According to the officially released information from the Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission, between 00:00 and 24:00, March 13, no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Jiangsu. One severe case has become a moderate one after treatment.

As of the 13th of March, 631 confirmed cases have been reported in Jiangsu accumulatively, of which 93 were in Nanjing, 55 were in Wuxi, 79 were Xuzhou, 51 were in Changzhou, 87 were in Suzhou, 40 were in Nantong, 48 were in Lianyungang, 66 were in Huai’an, 27 were in Yancheng, 23 were in Yangzhou, 12 were in Zhenjiang, 37 were in Taizhou, and 13 were in Suqian.

As of this update, all the patients diagnosed with COVID-19 in Nanjing, Xuzhou, Changzhou, Suzhou, Nantong, Lianyungang, Huai’an, Yancheng, Yangzhou, Zhenjiang, Taizhou and Suqian have been discharged from the hospital.

Of the traced 12,652 close contacts, 12,630 have been discharged from medical observation, while 22 are still under observation.

Experts urge the public to take necessary health precautions and maintain healthy hygiene habits such as wearing a mask when going out, washing your hands frequently, covering your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze, and keeping your room well-ventilated. Avoid crowded places so as to reduce your risk of infection.

Recently, the scheduling system will be implemented in all hospitals at or above level-II in the province. In order to avoid gathering in enclosed areas and to reduce hospital wait times, please make an appointment via online services, telephone or a patient check-in kiosk.
