At 9:00 a.m., 5th of December in Africa, the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Center established by China was inaugurated at Mnazi Mmoja Hospital in Zanzibar.

Over the past few years, the Chinese Medical Team (CMT) has respectively set up the Ophthalmology Center and the Minimally Invasive Surgery Center in Africa. The mission of the 25th CMT includes the establishment of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Center and Orthopaedic Trauma Center, so as to perform relative diagnosis and treatment, as well as training of local doctors and nurses.

The Changzhou Medical Team is independently responsible for the 25th CMT in Zanzibar.
