Shi Liang Law School of Changzhou University inaugurated

The Law School of Changzhou University co-founded by Changzhou Municipal Committee of China Democratic League (CDL) and Changzhou University was inaugurated on June 12. The Shi Liang Legal Theory Research Center, Changzhou CDL Legal Aid & Training Center, and so on were established at the same time.

Changzhou University opened law courses in 1995. After years of development, the number of students majoring in law has increased from less than 30 to 428, while the number of teaching staff has grown from less than 10 to 75.

Shi Liang (March 27, 1900 September 6, 1985) was a female politician of the People's Republic of China. She was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu, and was the first Minister of Justice of the People's Republic of China from 1949 to 1959.
