On April 27, Waikit Ho, Consul on bilateral relations at the UK Consulate General in Shanghai, led a delegation to Changzhou. The aim of the visit was to learn about the latest development in green building, energy conservation and testing & certification industries.

On the first stop, the delegation came to the Wujin Green Building Industry Cluster Demonstration Zone, where members visited Wujin City Exhibition Hall, Green Building Expo Park, and Jiangsu LVHE Environmental Technology. Consul Ho said, as achieving carbon neutrality is the common goal of mankind, the UK would like to seek cooperation with the Demonstration Zone in terms of green building industries and low-carbon technology.

At the Sino-Europe (Changzhou) Testing, Inspection and Certification Cooperation Industrial Park, the delegation visited two enterprises: Intertek and Beko. The members also visited the sludge incineration center at Yingke Environmental Technology.

This event is industry-oriented, with participants from the government, the consulate, enterprises, and institutes. Wang Min from the provincial Foreign Affairs Office and Shen Lian, deputy director of the Changzhou Foreign Affairs Office, accompanied the delegation during the visit.
