Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture announced the list of the fifth batch of National Model Villages/Towns of the “One Village, One Product� Program. The Qingshuidu Village of Zhiqian Town, Jintan District is ranked in the list with its specialty “Subiao� crab.

Qingshuidu has been promoting enclosure culture since the 1980s. Currently the village has an area of 1,000 mu of aquaculture, and 713 aquaculture farmers, accounting for 53.6% of the total number of its farm households. There are nine aquaculture enterprises and one provincial agricultural exports demonstration base. The "Subiao" crab has been selected into the top ten famous Chinese mitten crab.
