In the recently issuedMonitoring Report on the Progress of Building a Moderately Prosperous Society 2017, Changzhou ranks 13th among the top 100 cities in the index of building a moderately prosperous society.

The report was jointly issued by the Competitiveness Think Tank, an independent third-party institution, and the Credit Committee of China Information Industry Association(CllA � CC) supervised by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). The report, based on the monitoring system and the open and authoritative data of building a moderately prosperous society, monitored 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) and 653 cities. There are five sub-indexes to measure the progress of building a moderately prosperous society in the areas of economy, life, culture, ecology and governance.

The report shows that Changzhou has reached 128.23 in the index of building a moderately prosperous society, and achieved A+ in all the five sub-indexes.
