As of July 29th, there are 81 enterprises from Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing applying to participate in Jintan’s PPP projects. A public–private partnership (PPP) is a government service or private business venture which is funded and operated through a partnership of government and one or more private sector companies. These schemes are sometimes referred to as PPP, P3 or P3. One week ago, the first batch of 27 PPP projects have been released by Jintan, relating to public transport infrastructure, health care, education, government-subsidized housing program, standard workshop, environmental improvement, urbanization, etc. It’s learned that Jintan has specially established the PPP center, taking the lead in propelling the cooperation system between government and private business venture. Among the 27 released PPP projects, 17 programs have been selected into the Jiangsu Provincial PPP Project Library, including four provincial pilot projects, the number of which is ranked the first in Jiangsu.
