Latest update on COVID-19 dynamics in Jiangsu province

Between 00:00 and 24:00 of March 14th, 20 new confirmed locally transmitted cases (15 in Changzhou, three in Lianyungang, and two in Suzhou) were registered in Jiangsu province.

Twenty-seven local asymptomatic carriers (nine in Lianyungang, eight in Suzhou, six in Changzhou, two in Yangzhou, one in Nanjing, and one in Wuxi) were newly reported in the province.

Another inbound asymptomatic carrier was registered and is under isolated medical observation.

Twelve local cases were discharged from hospitals, while two asymptomatic carriers (one local and one inbound) were released from medical observation.

At present, 185 confirmed cases (161 local and 24 inbound) are under treatment at designated hospitals, while 126 asymptomatic carriers (114 local and 12 inbound) are under medical observation.

From January 22, 2020 to March 14, 2022, a total of 1,947 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 209 inbound ones) had been reported in Jiangsu cumulatively.

As of this update, there are 16 high-risk and 300 medium-risk areas across the Chinese mainland.

Changzhou has classified three areas in the city as medium or high-risk for the virus.

The high-risk area is the Qingyun Lanwan construction site at 8-2 Mid. Longjiang Rd. in Wuxing sub-district of Zhonglou district.

The two medium-risk areas are Building 194 of Shunyuan Liucun residential area in Xuejia town of Xinbei district, and the north part of Xincheng Lanzuan residential area in Hongmei sub-district of Tianning district.
